1. What we collect

Logain collects the minimum data necessary to provide the service. When you install the GitHub App, we receive:

  • Repository metadata (name, owner, visibility)
  • Commit metadata (author, message, timestamp, Co-Authored-By headers)
  • GitHub account information (username, email) for authentication

We never read your source code. Logain only processes commit metadata — specifically the commit message and author fields — to detect AI tool usage patterns.

2. How we use your data

We use the data we collect exclusively to:

  • Detect AI tool usage in commits (Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor, etc.)
  • Generate per-repository and per-team dashboards
  • Calculate AI usage trends over time
  • Send optional weekly digest emails (if enabled)

We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties.

3. Data retention

Free plan: commit data is retained for 30 days. Pro plan: full history. You can delete all your data at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and contacting us.

4. Security

All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. We use GitHub's OAuth flow — we never store your GitHub credentials. Access tokens are stored encrypted.

5. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@logain.app. We will respond within 30 days.
